The Order of the Crutch

I mean if you can appreciate the concept of “Arranged Marriage” then why not legalize prostitution too?

Lets make a comparative analysis…

In a Brothel…

1. You don’t know the woman you’re going to sleep with until very recently before it happens…
2. You pay a sum of money in exchange for the service of sex (which is illegal as per the law)
3. You probably check if the whore you are going to sleep with has HIV and use condoms kind of contraceptives as a precautionary measure.
4. You get what you pay for, no more and no less.
5. Nobody can abuse nobody, you get pounded by the pimps/bouncer’s if you mess with a call girl.

In an Arranged Marriage…

1. You don’t know the man/woman you are going to live with until recently the wedding happens, not certainly as a person. May be as a personality, there is a difference.
2. You may a sum of money called dowry (hell yes, it still exists) or it’s covered up as kind rather than cash in modern times. (which is illegal as per the law)
3. You can’t ask your fiancée for a clean chit health certificate, you will be labeled a crook if you even suggest it.
4. You don’t have a clue about shit that you are getting into.
5. Abuse is the name of the game. Most of the times, husband gets his way with the wife. Wife can’t say shit because she has to accept the husband no matter what to adhere to the Indian cultural values.

Now tell me, in what way is a brothel inferior to arranged marriage? If it is not then why not legalize it?
