The Order of the Crutch

Sad but true, Chandru could not make it for this walk due to unavoidable reasons but then that won’t stop us from walking now, would it?

So here is the route for the "11th Chennai Photowalk".

We walk in the local area of Chennai, the internationally acclaimed area for rowdy’ism, the one and only "Perambur".

Yes, we know we are going to be accused of bias, since we picked this route because we are ex perambur vasi’s but then we are also known for our notoriety, so whatever

When: 21st of Sept. 2008, Sunday
Time: 4:30 PM (Indian Standard Time)
Assembling Point: Perambur Lourdes Church (Yes, supposedly the second Largest Church in India, no idea if its true)

We will start at the famous Perambur Lourdes Church and walk down paper mills road and cross Gandhi Statue, Venus theatre (world famous in perambur for bittu padams), Venus Market and end at Venus Park/Bus Stop.

We shall do the walk in the evening primarily for these reasons…

Perambur being quite far away from the centre of the city, we dont have to wake up at unearthly hours like 4.30 AM or so to come to perambur by 5.30 / 6 AM. Instead, we will start the walk at 4.30 PM in the evening so that the sun is not burning our scalp and we have the church mass crowd, Balaji Ice Creams famous cone ice cream, Venus Market Crowd to shoot, Gandhi Statue Crowd and lots of people all along the way, so be prepared with your portrait lenses.

The Entire walk is close to about 1.7 Kilometres and we can spend a lot of time in the church and the market and of course the small venus park.
