I don’t want M.F Hussain Back
Written by Dilip Muralidaran on March 18, 2010 – 6:34 pm -I’m tired of explaining things on twitter and chat so i decided i will write a blog post to consolidate my thoughts and present it in an orderly and clear manner without any confusion.
Preface:
M.F.Hussain the great artist whom many people are brooding over, his loss of Indian citizenship and want him back, is my subject for discussion. People are pissed off that the Hindu religious right over reacted and made him decide to give up his Indian citizenship for a Qatar one. People demand that India should extend an offer to bring him back and offer an apology as well. People claim that
“Art” and “Freedom of Expression” is above everything and no one has the right to not get offended. Artists should have no boundaries or restrictions and that they should be beyond offense & hurt.
Foreword:
I have no religious beliefs. I’m an outspoken atheist, no not the Karunanidhi kinds who love to blaspheme forward caste Hindu gods. I blaspheme all gods. I don’t care who gets offended and who does not. To me all god is blasphemy material and i will blaspheme things to death. I do not care who blasphemes what god and who gets offended. Blasphemy is a victimless crime. I do not support someone not to be offended at all.
Main Summary:
My Objective of this article is to strike a logical balance. We all know that India has blasphemy laws. Even though it sounds like stone age, yes in this country one cannot offend religious sentiments of another and get away with it. While i do not support this law i have to live with it for the time being until it is thrown to the dustbin like how criminalizing gays was trashed recently. It is in this context my argument is going to be. I’m all in support of freedom of expression. It should be applicable to all. Freedom of expression is not Selective. It is applicable to one and all. Just like how i love to call Mohammed a Pedophile, someone else should also have the freedom of expression to call Lord Shiva a murderous bastard. I cannot cry foul when someone else insults Shiva whilst i insult Prophet Mohammed or Vice Versa.
The Material:
I would like to show some of the images that MF Hussain drew that erected violence and criticism across the nation.
A fully dressed Muslim king and a naked Hindu Brahmin. While the Muslim king is shown in a dignified manner the Brahmin is butt naked. Brahmins are respected across India for their religious significance in the Hindu Dharma. Insulting a Brahmin Priest is equivalent to insulting a Imam or a Bishop.
Lord Hanuman and Goddess Sita both shown naked. Additionally the naked Sita sits on Ravanan’s lap. Sita is a symbol of chastity and divinity according to Hindu’s. So much that mythology states that she could not be burnt by the flames when her husband Rama asked her to take the test. To depict Sita sitting butt naked on a naked Ravanan’s lap is nothing short of insult.
Draupadi shown naked. Whilst one can dismiss this is as not so bad it still could offend people nevertheless.
Goddess Parvati depicted naked. Additionally i see her carrying or touching a naked vinayaka (her son) as well. What does this mean. She is aroused by her own son?
Goddess Saraswati depicted naked.
Goddess Lakshmi painted naked on Lord Ganesh’s head. Again compromising positions of gods and goddesses that may provoke anger.
Goddess Durga shown in an union with a Tiger. Notice how the anal sections of the human woman and the tiger collide in the drawing suggesting a copulation.
Here are some images the same person(artist) drew, in this case they are either Muslims or Christians…
Muslim poets Ghalib and Faiz shown properly and fully attired in a nice way
A fully clothed Muslim lady. Simple and elegant drawing. I don’t see how this lady could be a Muslim, maybe she does not have a bindi, thats why?
A painting of MF Hussain’s mother – properly and fully clothed.
Mother Teresa shown fully clothed.
Hussain’s daughter painted fully and properly clothed.
A properly and fully-clothed Fatima, the Prophet’s daughter (from one the innumerable number of women he raped/impregnated or forcibly married).
My Conclusion:
It is distinctly evident from MF Husain’s work that he likes to play spoil sport with Hindu items and he treats his own Muslim brethren and Christians with respect. When i say Hindu i refer to the followers of the religion called “Hinduism” that it is known today. It is evident that if MFH paints a picture of prophet Mohammed he would not have his hands to wash his rectal cavity after taking a dump, the next time around. The same can be said if he paints a picture of Mother Teresa in a bikini or say naked.
1. I’m happy that he has the balls to blaspheme against Hindu Gods. I don’t care, god does not exist and insulting a non existing entity is not a criminal offence in my opinion. Like i said earlier, blasphemy is a victimless crime.
2. Applying the same logic Christian & Muslims gods don’t exist as well. Hence offending their gods should not be a big ass problem as well. Unfortunately no, in this country secularism means bashing the majority to appease the minority. We all know what Taslima’s Burkha article did and how many lives were lost because someone wrote something about a piece of clothing & commented on a religious text from their personal opinion.
3. Just as Muslims & Christians have the constitutional right to feel offended (ironically) so do Hindu’s have the right to feel offended if someone depicts a mother god and her son god to be copulating or performing sexual deeds to each other.
4. To bring back M.F. Hussain or to apologize to him would be hypocrisy. If M.F. Hussain deems an apology and needs to be brought back to India and given safe custody and citizenship then i demand Salman Rushdie to be awarded $100 million dollars and an apology for his work being banned. I also propose that we compensate Dan Brown and Sony Pictures with a $500 Million cheque and apology and we will screen “The Da Vinci Code” all over again in all theaters and govt. offices and public places across India.
5. It is pretty obvious neither will we allow “Satanic Verses” nor do we tolerate The “Da Vinci Code” movie. Both of them are an item that indicate “Freedom of Expression” and “Artistic Expression” as well just like MF Hussain’s paintings do.
6. If we cannot tolerate one, then the other cannot be tolerated as well.
7. It is hypocrisy and unfair to say that someone can offend Hindu’s and not face the consequences but Muslims or Christians should NEVER be offended at no cost even if they outrightly offend the Hindu’s.
I don’t care for Muslims or Christians or Hindu’s. I do however care when one of them is being subject to insult to appease the other or question one of them while they insult the other will generate violence and commotion. Everyone is equal in the eyes of the law, even if that law is stupid to claim one cannot be offended at all (on religious grounds) like how it is in India.
M.F Hussain is no holier than Dan Brown or Salman Rushdie. Nor is he exclusive from the Danish Newspaper who were brought to their knees for publishing a silly fucking cartoon. For all i care, M.F Hussain can go to hell. I care less. Let him practice his “Freedom of Expression” by painting Mohammed in Qatar, if he has the balls to. If only he can play around with Islamic or Christian figures like he does with Hindu figures and then demands that people should not feel offended, i would consider him to be a true secularist and would voice my support to bring him back. Until then, let him scramble in the desert and drink crude oil for time pass. He is a mere perverted Muslim prick who wants to offend Hindu’s and take cover under the blanket of “Art” & “Freedom of Expression” and play politics with our skewed idea of secularism which applies only to Muslims & Christians while Hindu’s can be offended and abused without any question.

I love my balls, seriously!
Written by Dilip Muralidaran on October 9, 2008 – 3:06 am -I happen to subscribe to the National Geographic RSS feeds and today i came upon something awesome.
Before i tell you what it is, let me tell you a little bit of a story.
There once lived in the world where secular scientists and normal people who do not hallucinate about imaginary shit bags in the sky telling you when to put your crotch into what and where. These people came up with a discovery called stem cells. Without going into technical details much, in simple and crisp terminology stem cells help us understand the human cell structure and germ therapy better, thereby enabling us to find possible cures to aids, cancer and such likely other deadly disease that wreak havoc on human kind.
However there were a few sects of people called Catholics, Muslims, Hindus and Jews who believed in a imaginary entity whom no one has ever seen. He is called GOD. Now this god mother fucker who does not exist in the first place apparently put some shit called soul into an embryo when the man told the woman "honey, i was about to pull out but i cummed too fast, sorry!" and the woman had a swelling in her tummy three months later.
Now this embryo of course was voluntarily donated by nice minded and good hearted humans but then the imaginary "Soul" entity happened to have life in it and using it to do stem cell research was considered a blasphemy, a term religious fucktards use when science beats the fucking shit out of religion and god every other time and they have no evidence to prove religion right and science wrong. In other words, we call that "Appeal to Authority". "You should not do that! Why? Because you should not!" Typical Crap, accusing people who want to save lives as murderers and then calling upon Jihad because you can have 7 virgin pussies to lick for yourselves in heaven when you die.
Now the good news is, we can extract stem cells from guess what? Human testicles and this technology will be mainstream before i smash the mosquito on my hand that sucking on by blood right now.
My curiosity is, are the Catholics gonna look for every other masturbating man and hold his cum on their hands and put it in a plastic container and cryogenically freeze the man’s juice because each one of those 40 million sperms per cubic milli litre of semen is a potential life? Wow, i’m so deviously happy because i kill about 4 billion people in my shower everyday while i jerk off to the thought of me caressing some good pam anderson lee tits.
Nice try god, we’re gonna fix cancer, AIDS and what not with stem cell research in the future and miracle working televangelist’s like Benny Hinn can to take a hike. What next? Masturbating is the sole evil that is causing Global Warming? Sure, bring it on. We’re never tired of beating the shit out of you mother fuckers. Like this one, you will be in jail soon.

What part of the word "fun" does one not understand?
Written by Dilip Muralidaran on August 13, 2008 – 8:00 pm -Apologies for the long post but i need to discus this in detail as much as possible. Apologies for the deviation from the topic that i often do, it is habitual of me to do so as you will get to find out when you read more of what i write.
I often read about people bringing out interesting arguments about what is the purpose of things like alcohol, night-clubs, disco’s and beach-house parties…
The usual set of arguments are like "I don’t understand the words like ‘I love to dance, it’s a great place to loosen up, and chill out with friends and catch up with good times and make new friends and meet women/men" sort of explanations". Seriously, i mean how more simpler could that answer be or how more honest could it be? Later, then usually come the accusations. A desire for promiscuity and adventure. We aer all pattern seeking animals, aren’t all of us supposed to be so when we are normal? Isn’t that what homo-sapiens supposed to do post 2 million years of evolution from homo-erectus who were also pattern seeking creatures?
Human Evolution, is not an easy subject to understand. I completely agree, neither do i understand it in all its intricacies and complexities. However with the fundamental knowledge of your 8th to 10th grade matriculation board zoology textbooks which define things just enough to determine real from imaginary helps a lot, and we all know for fact we are pattern seeking animals and also seek patterns of communication and interpretations that do not stick to a pattern, which in itself is a pattern. Was that too long a sentence to confuse the hell out of you? Let me break it down…
1. Man courting woman is a pattern. Man impressing woman with food, shelter and clothing is also a pattern we are all aware of. We all follow this pattern with the exception of some Hindu saints, catholic celibate clergy and shariya practicing Islamic men. Well even that in itself is a pattern of activities to achieve something.
2. Man under the influence of alcohol can act in any way. Although there is a pattern here too its not accurately predictable what exactly one would do with what kind of alcohol and how much. Therefore this lacks clear pattern.
So why cannot this practice of seeking a pattern of fun be so complicated that it cannot be understood at all? I mean when you could believe in a dead father or grand parents become a angel with wings and float down from clouds and be there by your side in times of distress to help you out of those situations and this be so easy and straight forward to understand, why cannot running down a large Grey goose with some red bull and get some buzz in the head and dancing like you don’t care what you are doing on the dance floor, be so difficult to understand? At least the latter is straight forward and has documentation to prove it, millions or people in 1000′s of night clubs around the world do it and im yet to see a discovery channel DVD on Elvis Presley’s dead spirit re-mastering his numbers in his abandoned studio.
Close proximity to strangers, that’s another complaint. Why not, i ask? Did we not ever learn a lesson from a magnificent fool called Adolf Hitler? This guy wanted to eliminate all Jews who were apparently the lower breed in their opinion and then inter-breed only higher breed Nazi’s within themselves. Several decades down the line we can see how it messed up the poor Germans and how they are today, and no smarter or no stupider by those experiments in artificial selection. On the contrary they are blindly accused of being racists for something the Hitler dude did. The point is natural selection, that is how it works. It looks our for patterns and it picks from them. Of course it also develops new stuff through random mutation but humans on the whole on a psychological scale seek pattern in everything.
Does not the government of India advocate against marrying in the same family or within the blood line. Are not we aware of the massive statistics that claim cross community differential race partners have healthier and smarter offspring’s. Isn’t that the fact, spread the genes far apart. Is that the biology lesson we forgot? Then why is meeting strangers such a dastardly act? I agree the risks and the security problems involved in the current day scenario. However, it did exist during all times. At least now you have awareness and means of protection, which you did not have back then. Lets say 1 out of every 100 men and women hitting the night clubs and who meet strangers get killed. Let’s say that makes night clubs a no gooder. We also have 1 out of every 100 men and women on late night driving get killed on the roads in automobile accidents and incorrect drug prescriptions in hospital wards. Can we also declare that roads, automobiles and doctors and hospitals are evil too?
Some people think that making something illegal will prevent other people who like to do it, stop doing it. This is like shooting every pigeon on the spot because many of them poo poo in your head. It’s practically a bullshit idea, i think.
Finally, there is lust. Why am i the only indian to think that lust is a hallucination of vocabulary. Isn’t lust the driving factor behind life. Stop, you pervert! you say? "Love is the essence of life" is the correction that comes from all four corners of the world. The last time i checked the dictionary i found these…
Some examples for LOVE
(A) strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties <maternal love for a child> (B) warm attachment, enthusiasm, or devotion <love of the sea> (C) the sexual embrace : copulation
Some examples for LUST
(A) intense or unbridled sexual desire : lasciviousness (B) an intense longing : craving <a lust to succeed> (C) enthusiasm, eagerness <admired his lust for life>
It appears to me that the physical intimacy part is represented by both words but the emotional intimacy is addressed by LOVE alone. Hence, can we conclude that we are trying to vilify all of the instantaneous intimacy that normally develops/exists between two people when they meet? It happens in temples and churches and it happens in weddings and family occasions. so why the bad name for clubs? Because you cannot decide well what you want when under the influence of alcohol? The point is isn’t the fundamental reason why you went clubbing was to have some off the collar fun without the stress of decision making and not carry an responsibilities with it? Is that not also a reason why people go pubbing? Meet new people and hang out and have fun and not care about who likes what or who would get offended when because you probably are not going to hear from them again.
You may scream "but that is not indian culture" and i go back to merriam websters again.
Culture
the characteristic features of everyday existence (as diversions or a way of life} shared by people in a place or time
Is not culture what people at a particular point in time and place like to do or not like to do? When did that interpretation change?
Going to clubs as i see is one’s own business. As long as drunken people are not shooting large volumes of people in public space and are not raping women on the dance floors, i think what one likes to do and one does not like to do is ones own business. As long as it does not enda
nger the life of another person, anything under the sun goes. That is what every free country does, we claim to be one.

Blasphemy
Written by Dilip Muralidaran on April 20, 2008 – 8:47 am -A Fancy slytherin talks to eve, fruit of knowledge she does steeve,
Adam shares an innocent bite; mankind tumbles down the night,
Thunder clouds, rumble and roar, yahweh’s voice callously soar,
Plague, demon’s, fire and storm, sins draw you into harm,
Mankind falls with all its might, doltish eve, adams delight.
Omnipotent, truth and love, mercy, kindness, all above
Maketh us in his dough, needless reason in us he plough,
Set out rules on how to pray, live the day and how we lay,
He foresee and knows all things, did he set out what we’d bring?
For all he made and what he gave, none of us had done a thing.
Knowing all and doing all, what made him let the serpent loose?
Sugary words and simple truth, logic, reason, made us choose,
Playing fair, he does not dare, bend at will and pay his fare,
Watchful eyes, from up the skies, Abraham can kill his mice,
Blood, agony, pain and vice, by his name all is nice.
Moral values, right and wrong, women cannot wear a thong,
In his name shall you fight, keep the virgins, it’s your right,
For all that know by lying with man, kill the clan, yes you can,
Reason, Logic, if thou seek, it all so sounds lame and meek,
Ye shall not tell nor ye yell, call it blasphemy in a nutshell.
